Rumblefish Founder Paul Anthony Troiano Resigns As President/CEO To Take Advisory Post

RUMBLEFISH Founder PAUL ANTHONY TROIANO will resign as President and CEO of the company, but remain as an active advisor to the company, which was acquired by SESAC in 2013. RUMBLEFISH’s industry-leading content ID administration, micro-licensing and RADKEY services will continue uninterrupted for its hundreds of clients and hundreds of thousands of content providers.
TROIANO founded the company in his dorm room at the UNIVERSITY OF OREGON and, under his leadership, the organization defined the micro-licensing category which is now a core element of digital music revenue and invented the world’s first self-reporting license verification technology, RADKEY. The current management team will take over day-to-day operations of the company.
Commented TROIANO: “I’m extremely proud of what the RUMBLEFISH team and I have accomplished for artists over the years, paying out tens of millions of dollars in micro-licensing royalties and to have played a part in building the world’s first true “MRO” (music rights organization), combining SESAC, HFA and RUMBLEFISH under one roof. This company remains dedicated to innovation and fairly compensating artists for their music and will continue to do so through this period of rapid growth and into the future. I admire, respect and have high hopes for the amazing team of people succeeding me at the company. This has been an experience of a lifetime and was made possible by the many, many artists who believe in us and know that we genuinely care about them and their music…music that it was my honor to have represented.”
In the coming months, TROIANO plans to spend more time with his wife and their three-month-old daughter, as well as continuing his deep involvement with the artistic and entrepreneurial communities of PORTLAND, OREGON. He founded the RAINMAKER endowment for student entrepreneurs and has invested in and co-founded other start-ups in the PORTLAND metro area including SPACEMAN, a business that makes high-end guitar effects pedals from space parts and 503, a media and apparel business offering PORTLAND-themed attire and a curated list of PORTLAND events and happenings via its website www.Do503.com and app.

RUMBLEFISH's micro-licensing platform allows social video networks, video applications and marketplaces to offer music functionality on web, tablet and mobile, providing access to the world’s largest copyright-cleared music catalog of more than 5 million copyrights.
